Annual Burnham memorial cycling set for Sunday

The Flying Stars Cycling Club has received the necessary approval from the National COVID-19 Task Force to host the annual Forbes Burnham memorial road race, slated for Sunday (February 21).
The race will start at 07:30h at Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, proceed to Belfield, East Coast Demerara, and return to Carifesta Avenue for the finish. Notably, only the cyclists and event coordinators have been granted approval to attend, given the COVID-19 measures in effect.
Cyclists will compete in the Open, Junior and Veteran categories. More information on the race can be had from coordinator William Howard on 649-1162.
The experienced Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams is the defending champion.
