Seven new COVID-19 cases recorded from 633 tests

A total of seven new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Monday from 633 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 8,427.

Regions Four and Seven recorded three new cases each with Region 3 recording the other new infection. No new cases were recorded in any of the other regions.

To date, 7,774 persons have recovered with one death recorded in Region 4 today, resulting in 190 deaths.

There are 415 patients in home isolation, 41 patients are in institutional isolation and eight patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
