Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll is now 193 after a 65-year-old man died on Wednesday.
The man, who is from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica), died while receiving care at a medical facility, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
His death comes within 24 hours of two other men– a 48-year-old from Region Four and a 63-year-old from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara). The Ministry earlier revealed that these two patients also died while receiving care.
This means that 16 persons have died in February thus far.
