When contacted by the News Room, Donnessa McDonald, a teacher of the Secondary School, noted that this was not the first time they have received from assistance the Alumni.

“The Alumni is very passionate about continuing a legacy. As such, they visit the school from time to time looking for students they can assist.”

Additionally, the Alumni Overseas Chapter also started a Feeding Programme in 2019. However, the pandemic has prevented the continuation of the programme, which they soon hope to resume.

Last March, when the coronavirus was first detected in Guyana, the Alumni Overseas Chapter sent donations for food hampers to students and parents of the school. The donation was distributed by the Alumni Local Chapter, which is headed by Rendell Harry.

The Overseas Chapter has also donated laptops and gift cards from Austin’s Bookstore to the top Caribbean Secondary Education Council (CSEC) students.

Head Teacher, Allison Cosbert, along with the parents would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the North Ruimveldt Multilateral School Alumni Overseas Chapter for their contribution and donations to the school.
