The Ministry of Health on Thursday recorded 51 new COVID-19 cases from 1, 453 tests. This takes the total number of known cases to 8, 699.
Region Four accounted for the majority of the new cases with 38; Region Three recorded seven new cases while regions Five and Ten each recorded two new cases and regions Six and Seven recorded one new case each.
An additional COVID-19 death recorded on Thursday pushed the death toll to 200. So far, 8, 074 persons have recovered.
There are 383 patients in home isolation, 36 persons are institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
