Guyana on Friday recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases from 593 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 8, 729.
Region Four recorded the majority of the new cases with 20; Region Three recorded four new cases, Region Seven recorded three new cases and Regions One, Five and Six each recorded one new case.
To date, 8, 099 persons have recovered and 200 persons have died.
There are 386 patients in home isolation, 39 patients are in institutional isolation and five patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
