Ganja found in bag with slippers at Lusignan prison

A black bulky bag containing five pairs of Adidas slippers, along with parcels containing seeds, stems and leaves, suspected to be ganja were discovered at the Lusignan Prison on Thursday.

According to Police Headquarters, the drugs were found by a prison officer at the Lusignan Cane Field opposite the training school.

The suspected narcotics were handed over to the police which was weighed, sealed and lodged.

Investigations are ongoing.
