West Indies prevailed in a huge run chase of 274, winning by five wickets to win the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka with a game to spare on Friday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

Evin Lewis and Shai Hope put on their second century partnership of the series- 192- to lay the foundation for the win, and though Sri Lanka managed a fightback, West Indies had enough firepower to close out the contest with two balls remaining.

Lewis struck 103- his fourth ODI ton- and Hope followed up his century in the first game with a fluent 84. Nicholas Pooran ended on 35 not out, after Darren Bravo (10), Kieron Pollard (15) and Fabian Allen (15) all fell cheaply.

Thisara Perara took 2-45 and Nuwan Pradeep 2-66 for Sri Lanka, who earlier made 273-8, a total built around three solid knocks.

Opener Danushka Gunathilaka made 96, his second fifty of the series, Dinesh Chandimal scored 71 and Wanindu Hasaranga 47 towards at the end.

Bowling for West Indies, Jason Mohammed picked up career-best figures of 3-47 and Alzarri Joseph 2-42. The final match is set for Sunday at the same venue, starting 09:30h.
