The Ministry of Health on Monday recorded 19 new COVID-19 cases, from 433 tests taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to date to 9, 668.
Region Three recorded nine new cases while Region Four recorded six new cases and Regions Two, Five, Six and Ten each recorded one new case.
The Ministry earlier on Monday reported the death of a 69-year-old man, taking the death toll to 216. Total recoveries to date are 8, 522.
There are now eleven patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, while 856 patients are in home isolation and 63 are in institutional isolation.
