Jacobs Jewellery celebrates Sinclair’s West Indies rise

Steven Jacobs, the former Guyanese cricketer and owner of Jacobs Jewellery and Pawn Shop, on Wednesday hosted a special dinner for the young West Indies’ all-rounder and his Brand Ambassador, Kevin Sinclair, who recently made his international debut.

The 21-year-old Berbician played in all three of the Twenty20 Internationals against Sri Lanka earlier this month in Antigua and took two wickets.

The celebratory event was held at RS53 RestoBar and Lounge with Sinclair’s closest family members all in attendance; the continuously spoke of how immensely proud they were of his achievements.

They were unanimous that all the credit had to be given to his grandfather, Carlton Sinclair, who insisted that making the West Indies team was always part of the plan and dream since the infancy days he spent bowling countless balls to the youngster at their home in New Amsterdam.

Former West Indies captain and owner of RS53 RestoBar, Ramnaresh Sarwan, also congratulated Sinclair and offered some sound words of advice and encouragement.

Additionally, Jacobs said it is important other businesses seek to support the young Guyanese talent whom he believes is destined for inevitable progress.

Sinclair, who was signed as the entity’s Brand Ambassador in March 2020, was presented with a West Indies crest pendant made of gold.
