Crime Chief graduates with LLB

Crime Chief and Deputy Commissioner of ‘Law Enforcement’ (ag.), Wendell Blanhum, has graduated from the University of Guyana with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.

A statement from the Guyana Police Force noted that the Crime Chief passed with a Distinction.

“Blanhum is the youngest officer to have held the position of Crime Chief (when he was first appointed in 2015). He is also one of the most successful officers in the recent history of the Guyana Police Force,” the police statement noted.

Aside from his LLB degree (Distinction), Blanhum also holds a Diploma in Public Management, a Degree in Public Management (Hons.), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Studies and a Commonwealth Master in Public Administration.

“When you shine your own light, dream your own dream, follow your own star, anything is possible,” he was quoted as saying in a recent newspaper interview, according to the police statement.
