Student, 16, stabbed by bandits during robbery
Police are on the hunt for five perpetrators who stabbed a 16-year-old student five times on Thursday afternoon at Annandale, East Coast Demerara during a robbery.
Police Headquarters in a statement said that the bandits were armed with scissors; the child initially resisted the bandits when he was stabbed.
He was robbed of a laptop, a cell phone, a music box and a backpack. The child was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he has to undergo surgery.
Police are yet to take his statement; investigations are ongoing.
