Injured driver involved in Pouderoyen accident flees hospital

Police are reporting that Daniel Singh, the driver of motor ATV CK 4481, has fled the West Demerara Regional Hospital after he crashed the vehicle on the Pouderoyen Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Monday night.
Police said several checks were made at his address and place of work without any success.
The accident occurred at about 21:30h on Monday. Police said the pillion rider; Reshma Baldeo of Good Fortuin, WBD, was also injured. She is admitted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
According to reports, Singh was speeding along the road, when he lost control of the vehicle, toppled several times and then collided with a pedestrian crossing sign and ended up on the western parapet.
Investigations are ongoing.
