Sri Lanka 136-3 in response to West Indies’ 354

Sri Lanka responded strongly to West Indies’ first innings 354, closing day two of the second and final Test in Antigua on 136-3. They trail by 218 runs with three days remaining.

Opener Lahiru Thirimanne led the way with 55, before Dinesh Chandimal with 34 not out and Dhananjaya De Silva with an unbeaten 23 forged an unbroken partnership of 59.

Alzarri Joseph, Kemar Roach and Kyle Mayers are the wicket-takers for West Indies, who resumed on 287-7 and added 67 more runs.

Kraigg Brathwaite, who resumed on 99, was last man out for 126, while his overnight partner Rahkeem Cornwall made 73. Suranga Lakmal took 4-94 and Dushmantha Chameera 3-69.

The first Test ended in a draw.
