The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 57 new COVID-19 cases from a total of 944 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 10, 249.
Region Four recorded 18 new cases while 15 were recorded in Region Seven. The other cases were recorded in Region Ten with five cases, Regions Seven and Nine each recorded nine new cases and Region Two recorded one new case.
A total of 100 new recoveries were also recorded, pushing the overall number of recoveries to 9, 098.
To date, 231 persons have died from the virus.
There are 12 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 59 patients are in institutional isolation and 849 patients are in home quarantine.
