126 new COVID cases; 971 in isolation, 12 in ICU

A total of 126 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Thursday from 123 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 10,375.

Leading the new cases is Region 4 with 62. Regions Three and Six also recorded a high amount of new infections with 27 and 17 new cases, respectively.

Regions Two, Five and Ten recorded eight, six, and four new cases each with Regions Seven and Eight bringing up the total with one case each. Region One and Nine recorded no new cases.

To date, 9,159 persons have recovered with Guyana’s total number of deaths standing at 233.

There are 907 patients in home isolation, 64 patients are in institutional isolation and 12 patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
