Guyana on Monday recorded 26 new COVID-19 cases from 296 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to date, to 10, 606.
Regions Three and Four each recorded four new cases while Region Five recorded seven new cases and Region Six recorded one new case; Region Seven recorded two new cases and Region Ten recorded five new cases.
The Health Ministry on Monday reported three additional COVID-19 deaths, taking the death toll to 246. The total number of persons who have recovered from the dreaded disease is now 9, 289.
There are 14 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 72 patients are in institutional isolation and 985 patients are in home isolation.
