31 new COVID cases, 12 in ICU

Guyana on Tuesday recorded a total of 31 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s overall number of confirmed cases to 10,637.

Leading the new cases is Region Four with 15; following behind is Region Seven with 11 new infections. Regions Three and Six recorded two new cases, respectively, while one new case was recorded in Region Ten.

To date, 9,354 persons have recovered while Guyana’s total number of deaths is 247.

There are 947 persons in home isolation, 75 patients are in institutional isolation and 12 patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
