A 34-year-old logger of Kwakwani Park, Berbice River (Upper Demerara-Berbice) is nursing injuries at the Kwakwani Hospital Complex after he was beaten with a piece of wood by a man he attacked with a rum bottle on Monday.
According to a police report, Adolph Allicock, known as ‘Dog Man’, and the 36-year-old suspect have an ongoing feud; Allicock accused the suspect of having an affair with his wife.
At around 22:35hrs, the suspect was in the company of some friends walking on the road in Kwakwani Park, when Allicock approached him with a rum; they had an argument and Allicock reportedly threw the rum bottle at the suspect causing him to receive a wound to the left side of his face.
The suspect then picked up a piece of wood and dealt Allicock several lashes to his left side face, forehead, left shoulder and lower left foot. Allicock was rushed to the hospital and is in serious condition. The suspect is in police custody.
