A Middle Walk, Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara man is now dead after he was burnt alive after he reportedly set his house on fire Tuesday afternoon.
The News Room has been unable to confirm the identity of the man as details surrounding the fire remain sketchy at this time. However, residents in the area told this entity that the victim and his girlfriend were involved in a heated argument after he accused her of cheating on him.
It is reported that the girlfriend left the house after which the man locked himself inside and set it on fire.
Neighbours saw smoke emanating from the house at about 16:30 hrs and rushed his assistance but it was too late. Ranks from the Guyana Fire Service and Police Force are currently on the ground investigating and the News Room will provide more details in a subsequent report.
