Police are on the hunt for a selector identified as ‘DJ Raw Gold’ after he allegedly attacked and stabbed his coworker on Saturday night.
Police in a statement said the victim, DJ Yannick, was stabbed four times to the face with a broken Guinness bottle while at HJ 94.1 studio on Lance Gibbs Street, Georgetown.
According to the police report, DJ Yannick said he and the suspect got into an argument over work after which the suspect then armed himself with the Guinness bottle and attacked him.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated and sent away.
Meanwhile, the Management of HJ 94.1 in a statement said both individuals have been suspended while the matter is under investigation.
According to the radio station, DJ Raw Gold and DJ Yannick are independent DJs who purchase air time from the radio studio for their weekend programmes.
