Linden poisoning: Baby boy succumbs a day after mother
A 6-month-old baby boy, Malique Newton of Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) succumbed while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) on Monday morning, one day after his 24-year-old mother, Temeica Sampson, died of poisoning.
The baby’s 8-year- old sister remains hospitalised in a stable condition at the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) where the mother and two children were rushed after she consumed a poisonous substance and gave it to her children.
