Police ranks from Regional Division 4(B) on patrol duty Friday night, found a white Toyota Spacio vehicle on fire at Green Field Access Road, Providence, East Bank Demerara.
A statement from the police noted that the ranks observed the car on fire at around 21:15.
The Fire Service was summoned and a water tender from the Diamond Fire Station went into action and extinguished the fire.
By the time the fire was extinguished the motor car was completely burned.
Police said the scene was processed and no casualty was reported. Checks were made for CCTV cameras in the area to aid in the ongoing investigation.
