A 33-year-old delivery man is nursing a gunshot wound to his face and is in a critical condition after he was shot by bandits who robbed him of his motorcycle on Wednesday night.
Navin Mahadal of Campbellville, Georgetown, was shot in his left side jaw after he resisted the efforts to the bandits to steal his black and red XR motorcycle.
Police Headquarters noted that he victim arrived at John Smith Street, Campbellville, and was about to dismount his motorcycle when two males approached him on a motorcycle and demanded that he hand over his XR.
He resisted them and the pillion rider dismounted and drew a black handgun from his pants waist, discharged a round to the victim’s left side jaw and escaped with the motorcycle in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and is currently receiving medical attention. His condition is listed as critical.
Investigators are currently making efforts to review CCTV footage in the area.
