Police nab third suspect for Priest’s murder

Twenty-year-old Orlando Richards, the third suspect wanted in connection to the murder of Priest George Chuck-A-Sang, has been apprehended, police reported on Sunday.

According to information released, ranked acted on a tip-off and conducted an intelligence led operation in Region Eight on Monday last at 15:30 hrs which led to his arrest.

He is currently in custody at the Major Crimes Unit where further investigations are ongoing.

Dead: George Chuck-A-Sang

Two months after Chuck-A-Sang’s body was found in his St. Sidwell’s, Vlissengen Road, Georgetown house on December 21, 2020, a man and a woman were charged in February and remanded to prison for the crime.

The priest’s body, bearing seven stab wounds, was discovered by his daughter, Renata and the current Priest, Monsell Alves.
