Man, 29, stabbed to death over cell phone

Police are on the hunt for the main suspect in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Jomal Adams, who was stabbed to death during an argument over a cell phone at Back Circle, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown on Saturday.

According to a police report, Adams of Cooper Street, East La Penitence, died at around 15:20hrs.

An eyewitness told the police that the suspect and Adams were arguing over a cell phone when the suspect stabbed Adams to the chest with an unknown object. Adams then ran but the suspect gave chase and stabbed him in the back with a pair of scissors.

Adams collapsed and the suspect dropped a piece of black object as he escaped. The eyewitness went to help Adams when he saw a part of the scissors stuck in his back.

Adams was taken to Georgetown Public Hospital and went into surgery immediately. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
