Two residents of Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara (ECD) were granted $350,000 bail each after they pleaded not guilty to a narcotics charge.
Shelroy Clarke, 34, a farmer, and Patricia Grant, 39, were arrested by the police on May 2; they appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on Thursday before Magistrate A. George and pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of 867.8 grams of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Police Headquarters in a statement said they were granted bail and the case is adjourned to June 3, 2021.
