Strathspey man found dead in Buxton

Police are investigating the death of 46-year-old Shelton Henry, whose partially decomposed body was found in a trench at Company Road, Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD) at around 09:00hrs on Thursday.

Police Headquarters in a statement noted that Henry was an alcoholic, who resided at Area ‘G’ Strathspey, ECD.

Police investigations revealed that he was last seen alive by a juvenile relative at around 15:00hrs on May 4 lying on Company Road in a drunken state.

On Thursday morning, his body was observed by relatives floating in a trench that runs north to south on the eastern half of Company Road.

Police examined the body but no marks of violence were seen. The body is at the Lyken Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
