Cops looking for taxi driver accused of raping teen

Police are looking for a taxi driver who reportedly raped a female teenage passenger on Tuesday night.

Police Headquarters noted that the alleged rape occurred in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) at around 23:00hrs.

It is alleged that the suspect failed to take the teenager to her desired destination and, instead, drove some distance away where the act was committed.

A report was made to the police and efforts are being made to arrest the driver.
