India hopes to strengthen ties with Guyana in all spheres

See below statements issued by the President of India and the Indian High Commissioner to Guyana in observance of Guyana’s 55th Independence Anniversary:

On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Guyana on the occasion of your Independence Day.

India values the historical ties and close friendship between our two countries underpinned by our long-standing bilateral engagements and strong people-to-people ties.

Excellency, I look forward to work closely with you in further strengthening bilateral ties in all spheres for progress and prosperity of our countries and convey to you, my best wishes for your personal well-being and good health, and progress of the friendly people of Guyana.
