Curfew, other COVID measures extended for June

The national curfew which begins at 22:30 hrs and ends at 04:00 hrs has been extended for the month of June, according to the COVID-19 Emergency Measures (No. 18) that were published in the official gazette on May 31.

The restriction on private parties, wedding receptions, wakes and the usage of hotel pools remain in effect along with the closure of cinemas.

Businesses and entities such as bars and restaurants and places of worship that are allowed to operate are to follow all COVID-19 guidelines for safety.

Face masks are also expected to be worn in public, when travelling in vehicles and at workplaces.

Currently, the country has more than 2,000 active COVID-19 cases. There have been 86 deaths reported, thus far, for the month of May.
