Police have arrested two teenagers, ages 16 and 18, following the discovery of a .38 Taurus revolver containing four .38 rounds of ammunition and a stolen Haojue motorcycle # CK 6414.

A statement from Police Headquarters revealed that at around 16:30hrs on Monday, patrol ranks saw two identifiable males on a blue motorcycle (CK 6414) on Tacuba Road, Tucville Georgetown.

As the patrol proceeded to stop them, the teenagers began to drive south on Tucville Turning Point and proceeded south into High Palm Drive, South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown.

The ranks gave chase and the two males were intercepted on High Palm Drive.

A search was conducted on the 18-year-old driver and the gun and ammo were found in the crotch of his pants.

A search was also carried out on the 16-year-old pillion rider but nothing evidential was found on him, police said. “The suspect was told of the offence committed and cautioned but he remained silent,” police reported.

They were both arrested and taken to the East Le Penitence Police Station. Further investigations revealed that the owner of the said motorcycle was robbed of it at gunpoint on May 5, 2021, at North Road by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
