The Rotary Club of Demerara in partnership with friends of Rotary at the weekend brought much-needed relief to residents of two villages along the Upper Demerara River.

A group of volunteers from the Rotary Club of Demerara and representatives of several businesses, who donated relief items, made the trip to Murataro and Malali to distribute hampers to residents.

The areas have been severely affected by the recent flooding. The teams donated food items and cleaning agents to the residents.
