With the COVID-19 pandemic putting a halt to the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) programme of activities with regards to competitive action, the Association is continuing to make strides to spread the sport.
The latest school to benefit from the initiative was the West Demerara Secondary School.
Students of the institution had their CSEC Physical Education moderation session for table tennis, which was conducted by Coaches Linden Johnson, Shavin Greene and Mr. Muniram along with the region’s Sports Administrator, Ulric Charles .
A total of 30 students benefited from this session, the GTTA reported.
“This is one of the outcomes of GTTA strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education- Guyana, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Chinese Embassy in Guyana,” the GTTA said.
