Local companies make donation of rice to CDC

The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) recently received 400 bags of rice to assist households affected by severe flooding in some parts of Guyana.

Local companies KGM Security Services Inc. and Wazim Kassim Group of Companies donated 200 sacks of rice each, which were received by Public Information Officer of the CDC, Patrice Wishart.

Hansraj Singh, who made the presentation on behalf of KGM Security Services Inc., and Tishana Lindore of Wazim Kassim Group of Companies, both expressed their pleasure to support the CDC’s efforts to being relief to citizens.

They also expressed concerns for the wellbeing of those families, who have been affected by high levels of water in their communities.

Both Singh and Lindore said the donations were made under their companies’ corporate social responsibility platform.
