The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Tuesday said a burnt-out aircraft, suspected to have been used in carrying out illicit activities, was found at Bisaruni Area, Kwakwani in Region 10.
No illicit cargo was discovered, CANU stated.
“An investigation has been launched to locate the pilot and determine the circumstances of this discovery,” CANU stated in a press release.
The Unit said that of recent there have been several seizures of cocaine between Guyana and Suriname as a result of closer collaboration and cooperation.
