CANU arrests woman in minibus with ganja in shopping bag
Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Thursday intercepted a minibus at Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara and arrested a woman who had two and half pounds of marijuana stashed in a shopping bag.
CANU, in a statement, reported that Aatwanna Notoya McCammon, was in the front seat of minibus BMW 1587 when it was stopped on the way to Georgetown.
McCammon, 20, a secretary of ‘C’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, was searched and the ganja was found in a red, white and blue shopping bag she was carrying.
The woman was arrested and the bus with all its passengers were escorted to CANU headquarters.
