Police have arrested two of four men who beat and robbed a 15-year-old boy in Phase Two Area ‘A’ Good Hope, East Coast Demerara on Saturday night.
A police report noted that the teenager was robbed of a Blu Samsung Galaxy cellphone valued at $34,000 and $7,000 cash at around 22:00hrs.
It is alleged that the victim, along with two others, went to a shop about two corners away from their home, when he saw some of his friends who were liming and drinking alcohol.
The victim approached them when one of the men held him at knifepoint, while another pushed his hands into the victim’s right side pocket to take out his wallet but he put up a resistance.
As a result, the suspects cuffed him about his body. The victim managed to escape; two of the suspects were arrested and are currently in custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.
