An 18-year-old man died by suicide on Sunday night after thinking he had killed his brother.
Police reported that the teen and his brother were consuming alcohol during a Father’s Day celebration when an argument erupted.
The teen dealt his brother a lash to his head with a wood, causing him to fall to the ground in an unconscious state.
The teen, believing his brother was dead, became afraid and he ran away into the backyard.
Family members were able to resuscitate the injured brother and once he regained consciousness a search began for the brother who had ran away.
About half an hour in the search, it was discovered that the teen died by suicide.
