A 19-year-old woman was killed after the car she was travelling crashed into a lamp post at Stewartville, West Coast Demerara on Monday afternoon.
The woman, believed to be Venezuelan, has not yet been identified. The driver of the car was reportedly speeding; the woman who died was flung out of the car and into the drain.
Three other persons were hospitalised.
A man identified only as Anthony, and a woman only so far known as Alexendra are said to be critical while another woman, identified as Kathleen, is said to be in a stable condition.
