The body of an unidentified and naked male was found lying on the northern carriageway of New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara on Wednesday night.
Police said the discovery was made just before midnight and they are now seeking the public’s help to identify the body which was found with lacerations to the head and other parts.
The body, said to be a male of African descent, was picked up by police and taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
The body is presently lying at the West Demerara Regional Hospital mortuary awaiting identification and an autopsy.
