Hayley Matthews followed up her two wickets with a magnificent hundred to lead West Indies Women to a commanding eight-wicket win over Pakistan Women in the third ODI on Monday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The result sealed a series win for the Caribbean side after their third consecutive success in the five-match series.

Chasing 183, West Indies Women reached the target in 40.1 overs, led by Matthews’ unbeaten 100, her second ton in the format. The innings spanned 122 balls and included 11 fours.

Matthews and Kyshona Knight (18) gave West Indies Women an enterprising start of 56, before a century partnership between Matthews and Britney Cooper put the game beyond Pakistan.

Cooper scored 45 off 68 balls (3x4s). Cheadon Nation was not out on 13 when the victory was formalised.

Earlier, off-spinner Matthews played a supporting role of 2-30 off 10 overs to Anisa Mohammed (3-25) and Chinelle Henry (3-37) as Pakistan Women were dismissed for 182 with an over to spare.

Umaima Sohail topscored with 62 off 79 balls, while Muneeba Ali made 25 and Nida Dar 24.

The final two games are slated for July 15 and 18, both starting at 09:30h.
