Body of Harbour Bridge jumper washes ashore at Kingston seawall

The search for Dellon Thorn, the man who allegedly jumped off the Demerara Harbour Bridge on Sunday, ended early Tuesday morning when a jogger stumbled upon his partly decomposed body at the Kingston, Georgetown foreshore.

According to the police, the discovery was made at about 06:30 hrs.

Relatives of Thorn have since positively identified the body after which it was taken to the Lyken Funeral Home. There, it awaits a post mortem examination.

The Guyana Police Force Marine Unit sprang into action on Sunday after receiving reports that Thorn was seen plunging off the western side of the Demerara Harbour Bridge.

Before jumping, he parked his black CG motorcycle #CH 4923 on the bridge with the engine still on.
