Smalta launches ‘Selfie with Chelsea’ promotion

Carib Brewery, through its Smalta brand, has launched a ‘Selfie with Chelsea’ promotion, at select locations and will run from July 16 to August 31.

A percentage of the proceeds from this promotion will go towards the preparation of Smalta’s Brand Ambassador, Chelsea Edghill, who will attend this month’s Olympic Games in Tokyo and the World Championships in Houston, Texas, from November 23-29.

Through the promotion, Smalta is asking customers to take a ‘selfie’ with the ‘Chelsea Edghill Gondola’ in supermarkets, following the purchase of a Smalta Promo Pack, or buy five and get one free.

Customers are required to like the CBL Soft Drink Facebook page (facebook.com/CBLsoftdrink), upload their selfie and receipt to the page. The photo with the most likes will win Smalta memorabilia.

The selected locations are Massy’s Mega Store at Turkeyen; Massy Stores at Providence; Freshco at Diamond; and N&S Mattai’s at 4A Water and Hope Streets.

Edghill, who is a former Under-21 Caribbean Champion and 2018 National Sports Woman of the Year, recently got her ticket for the Olympics, a first for the sport of Table Tennis in Guyana.

The contract with Smalta will not just be for the Olympics, but will last until 2022 as Smalta aims to foster a significant partnership with the rising star.
