Police on the Essequibo Coast are currently combing the backlands of Onderneeming, Region Two to find a man who shot two persons at the Queenstown bus shed. The incident occurred at 19:30hrs.
A neighbour, who spoke with the News Room, said she heard the two shots but did not take them seriously and only ventured to the area when she saw a crowd had gathered.
There, she saw a male lying in a pool of blood and another injured. The male, who subsequently succumbed to his injuries, was identified as 22-year-old Keyion Devain McLennon of Queenstown, Essequibo Coast; the other man was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital.
The shooting is believed to be drug-related. The News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
