Reg. 9 teacher died from stomach bleeding, liver failure – PME

A post mortem examination conducted on the body of 31-year-old Peter Christian, a teacher, revealed that he died from “multiple acute stomach ulcers caused by bleeding in the stomach and cirrhosis of the liver”.

Police Headquarters in a statement noted that the autopsy was conducted on Thursday by government pathologist, Dr. Nehaul Singh. The body was handed over to relatives for burial.

The teacher of the Karasabai Primary School was discovered dead by his father on July 18, 2021. The father told police that his son complained of feeling unwell and sometime around 22:00hrs, he awoke and saw his son lying motionless and naked on the concrete floor of their Place Kurricock Village, South Pakaraimas house.

Christian was examined by the medex of Karasabai Health Centre and pronounced dead.

Police said foul play is suspected as marks of violence were seen on his body.
