Vigilance man with fake gun arrested

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man of Vigilance, East Coast Demerara (ECD) who was carrying a fake black plastic handgun.
Police Headquarters in a statement revealed that the arrest occurred at about 21:00hrs on Friday by ranks on patrol at Foulis, ECD.
According to the statement, the ranks observed two men on bicycles, who attempted to escape after noticing the patrol.
While the second rider escaped, the suspect was caught and found with the fake gun in his possession.
Police said the suspect is in custody and remains silent. The search continues for the second suspect.
