Cinemas, casinos and betting shops will be allowed to reopen at 40% capacity from August 1, according to new rules announced by government on Friday.
Persons who wish to attend any of these places must show the card that shows they are vaccinated, meaning they would have had to have received atleast one of two doses of either the Astra-Zeneca, Sinopharm or Sputnik V vaccine, that are administered in Guyana. The Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 are also being recognised.
Children, or those who are under the age of 18, will not be required to show a vaccination card.
There shall be no concession stand at a cinema, meaning there should be no stall selling food or drinks.
Patrons would be required to wear a face mask at all times.
