Linden man who intervened in argument dies

Lindener Keno Griffith, who was chopped to his head last Monday while intervening in an argument, has died, Police reported.

He was 36.

Griffith was attacked by when he tried to stop a heated confrontation between a man identified as Rochine Maison and a woman.

Maison had allegedly grabbed the woman’s breast and she spat on him. Maison reportedly became incensed and threw a bucket of water on the woman.

Griffith tried to help the woman, but Maison reportedly grabbed a cutlass and chopped Griffith to the arm and head. Griffith was hospitalized and Maison was charged with attempted murder.

Now that Griffith has died, the Police will now have to seek legal advice.
