Father who travelled to the interior to sell groceries now missing
Family members of Devanand Mohamed called ‘Killa’ or ‘Long hair’ suspect that he might be in danger after three months of no contact.
Mohamed left his Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara home in February, 2021 with another man identified only as ‘Kamal’ to sell groceries in Mahdia, Region Eight.
His wife Joana Rambishun is now fearful something may have happened to him and is pleading with anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact her on 663 6835.
Rambishun told the News Room that she last heard from her husband two weeks after Mother’s Day in May.
“I lost contact with [him] two weeks after Mother’s Day and he never called back. I am really worried and I just want to know if everything alright cause he not calling and he used to call,” a worried Joana explained.
According to the wife, Mohamed did not have his personal phone and would contact her on different numbers.
A missing person’s report was filed at the Beterverwagting Police Station where an investigation is underway.
